Constipation


Costipation is also a condition where person suffers from passing the stool. Where person has hard time going to the toilet. Bloated stomach with gas, nausea and vomiting or hard or dry stool. The goal is to go 3 times a week or 3 times a day.


Dos and Don't


  • not drinking enough fluid

  • not eating enough fibre

  • lack of physical exercise

  • some medications such as codeine and opioids or the over use of laxatives

  • pregnancy

  • emotional problems

  • medical conditions such as diabetes or irritable bowel syndrome

  • ageing process

  • poor bowel habits such as not passing stools when you feel the need.

  • Drink atleast 8 glasses a day

  • Limit processed food

  • Increase fiber and protein intake

  • Exercise more often

  • Release gas via walking everyday

  • Refer doctor for specific medications and if you find blood in your stool, vomiting, stomach pain and bloating constantly.
